The summer flowers swell into pearls, producing pink berries that ripen in early fall. The berries remain on the stems through the winter. Compact form at 2-1/2 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

Many varieties such as My Monet Purple Effect (variegated leaves, pink flowers), Spilled Wine (dark purple foliage, pink flowers), Wine and Spirits (dark foliage, white flowers). Weigela can range in size from 3-5 feet tall and wide.

Spice Girl Viburnum produces pink blooms that have a spicy-sweet scent in mid-spring. In the fall, the leaves turn red. 6-7 feet tall and wide. Opulus Viburnum, also called the snowball bush produces large hydrangea like flower clusters in the spring. Larger size at 8-10 feet tall and wide.
